The Allure of Red
Speaking somewhat physiologically and psychologically, yellow is apparently the most significant colour that makes people want to eat (so a definite bad idea for the kitchen), however probably ebause we often associate red with feelings and emotions tied in with love, passion etc. Therefore people see it, it's a warm colour, we feel that instant comfort and security etc. Hope that starts you off.
