The panda is becoming endangered because its habitat in China is being destroyed. Humans are stripping China of its bamboo forests, where the pandas live. Pandas eat bamboo mostly and if people destroy these forests there will be no food. Many are also killed/severely injured during the deforestation process. This is mainly to build industrial buildings such as factories. Also the pandas are going extict because of the golbal warming.

The Giant Panda is endangered and heading on the path of extinction as there are not many pandas left in the wild. I am not sure exactly how many but there are not many left and it is thought that in only the space of a couple of years they will become extinct.

Around 100 years ago, giant pandas were hunted for their furs. Up until and through recently, the largest threat, however, is habitat loss and fragmentation (habitat fragmentation is when tiny populations are separated from each other, preventing an animal from easily finding mates and also limiting local genetic diversity).

well, i think that the giant panda's are becoming extinct because their habitat are being ruined & cut down...the world also lost alot of giant pandas when the tsunami hit china.

Pandas are becoming extinct because earlier in the years, people would hunt them down as merchandise, but luckily, you can't hunt down pandas because it is illegal.

The main reason that Giant Pandas is that great swaths of there habitat is being destroyed by Chinese development and industrialization. The other main source of their demise is the underground animal trade, which hunts and captures these and other animals for pets, and body parts which are used in traditional medicines.

The reasons have not really changed. It is the same old same old; industrialization, farming, building, clearing of land, poachers, and bamboo being cut down.
