Yes the age might below but teens are mature enough to handle such a large responsibility. The number of car crashes to the number of teen drivers in the world is not even a comparison. And no matter what the age whether it is 16 17 or 18 the teens are still going to have as much experience so why not start them out at a younger reliable age where they are mature enough to handle it. I hope i answered your question

Well that's one opinion, as for the accident stats for young drivers, young drivers under 19 shows higher stats for injury accidents. Excessive speed, dangerous driving, street racing, drunk driving, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, hit and run, man slaughter, reckless driving, fleeing the scene, failure to remain at the scene. These are most of the common charges that "new irresponsible drivers" face. Now I am not down on anyone who is 16 years old with a driver's license.

I am drawing attention to the fact that there is always some "moron" out there who needs to be a "hero" and needlessly draw attention to the driving inabilities of young drivers. Probationary driving periods where the license can be lifted would, and has proven , where it is used to reduce the "idiot factor" among young drivers. Responsibility starts when the butt hits the driver's seat. Each driver is responsible for his/her actions regardless of age.

I think that the driving age should stay at 16 because 16 year old are mature to drive. Its better than 13 or something or I would have a car by now.Its sweet 16 that's what it is for so that you can get a car. I think that 15 is to young to drive also. If you don't learn to drive how will you ever be responsible. 18 is to old you should already be able to drive. who agrees with me?

it should stay at 16 because it teaches responsibility and maturity, but if you drop out of school then you just lost that chance because you've got to wait til your 18.

because they don't want ppl too young and immature driving on the streets, that'd be crazy if a 9 year old was driving around and it'd be very unsafe! so mostly for safety!
