Why is the uploaded YouTube audio-visual sync way off?

Out-of-sync sound is usually the result of using an audio codec that the system doesn't support. You can try re-encoding it with a different audio compression. Recommend MP3 audio for best results.

There are lots of tools for doing this. most of which cost money. A lot of people recommend Super by eRightSoft, which is free. Super is very powerful with tons of options, though it's not that intuitive and takes a little while to get the hang of.
