Why is there a lump next to belly piercing which is hard and quite tender which the doctor said isn't infected?

If your doctor said it isn't infected then you have what is called a hypertrophic reaction, this is generally a reaction to the cleaning agent you are using during your aftercare routine. Stop using any cleaning agents on the piercing and simply rinse the piercing while moving the jewellery under running water. Follow this guide for about a week (7 days) the lump should start to settle down. Remember don't use anything on the piercing except water (not lotions, creams , salt, ointments).
