If your doctor said it isn't infected then you have what is called a hypertrophic reaction, this is generally a reaction to the cleaning agent you are using during your aftercare routine. Stop using any cleaning agents on the piercing and simply rinse the piercing while moving the jewellery under running water. Follow this guide for about a week (7 days) the lump should start to settle down. Remember don't use anything on the piercing except water (not lotions, creams , salt, ointments). See the related links for more info.
Go to your doctor.
counsult the doctor as soon as possible

That means it is infected. Go see a doctor as soon as you can.
There are no specific odds of getting your belly button piercing infected. The odds of getting your belly button piercing infected go way down if you wait until the piercing is healed before you go swimming. It is important it does get infected that you see medical treatment immediately.
if u smoke and you have a piercing it can get infected take it from me.. so dont smoke.

Not usually. It could either be infected or its just the belly button ring you are using.
well when your belly button is very deep and you dont clean it often things can build up and get infected, what would help is fingering your belly button with a q-tip or your finger and cleaning it, if there is an infection you should see your doctor.
If your navel piercing has been infected for quite a while you should have seen a doctor by now. The real question is this, is you nave piercing really infected or is it a hypertrophic reaction? Both infections and reactions can be fixed without removing the jewellery, the methods for fixing both problems are different. Message me directly on this board for further help.
A belly button piercing can be a lot of fun, but it must be kept absolutely clean. It is a piercing that is easily infected, and when it does get infected, it's pretty bad. After getting pierced, clean the area twice a day (as well as after the shower, after swimming in the beach, etc). Also know that after the belly button ring is removed, there will be a small scar that can stretch (permanently) during pregnancy.
