Why is there fashion?

There is fashion because as humans we like to look aesthetically pleasing, we are caught up with the trends that are in and what is fashionable and which is a fashionable don't. We are consumed into advertisements that show us what we should be looking and how we should style ourselves. Yet, fashion isn't all terrible it's a means of expression. There's also fashion because its something humans never lived without, even from the beginning of times people have clothed themselves although not necessarily to look good but because of necessities of their environments. For example the indigenous who live in mountains and in cold environments will need to dress themselves appropriately for their climate. Or in the Middle East where they have to protect themselves from the sun and the coldness of the desert. After that it just started to evolve into different ways of dressing, and different fashionable clothing's such as the Romans or the people in the middle ages.
