Before 1989 Eastern European had few laws to control pollution. Factories contributed to air and water pollution, as a result of the gases and smoke they give off and their unregulated dumping. Both of these contribute to acid rain.

Environmental pollution is the top cause of pollution. Much of the environmental pollution is caused by industrial factories and businesses.
The air pollution was so bad that I had to take some antihistamines.
Short answer: Air Pollution from chemical plants, cattle raising, cars, and other industries. Explanation: There are many sources of pollution in the world. These include, but are not limited to, light, noise, air, land/soil, water, and visual pollution. The main source of world pollution recognized to be most harmful to people and organisms is Air Pollution, mainly because its effects are so widespread. Only a small amount of pollutant needs to be present in the air for it to cause health problems such as cancer, asthma, and neurological disorders. Because of the uncontained nature of air, large populations can be exposed to and affected by this type of pollution, causing more and more health problems over time.
Some air pollutants in the air are known as dangerous carcinogens. So, it is possible that air pollution can cause cancer.
we cannot classify traffic pollution as a kind of pollutions. Because basically it can be considered in AIR pollution. So the vehicles in traffic cause air pollution.
This is called Ozone because Ozone is harmfull and so is air pollution
There is so much pollution in the air, that if it were not for our lungs, we would have no where to put it.
The IR is a reason for the pollution problems facing Eastern Europe, but not the distinguishing factor between East and West. The reason Eastern Europe faces pollution issues to a greater extent is due to it's communistic history. The government controlled the industries that were attributing to the pollution so there was a conflict of interest in dealing with the pollution caused and nothing to keep it in check.
i don't think so government has used any of the measures for redusing air pollution.
We need to prevent air pollution so that we would not be sick, and so that we would not have health problems and we could save money. Another big problem with air pollution is carbon dioxide which is causing global warming. Factories and power plants have to pay fees for air pollution. This will encourage them to be cleaner and greener.
Absolutely. Solar collectors give off no air pollution, so if forms of energy generation that create air pollution (like the burning of coal) are replaced by solar collectors, air pollution is reduced.
In absolute figures the most air pollution is caused by big and bustling industrial countries, so Germany (the biggest industrial country in Europe) comes out on top. But if you look at who creates the most pollution in relation to its industrial output (in other words: who has the 'dirtiest' industries) Bulgaria and Roumenia come out on top.
So like... it did.
