A problem has been detected with the Anti-lock Brake System
It could be a fuse , a sensor , or some other problem
As long as the red " BRAKE " light in your dash is not on , you still
have " normal " brakes
* in my case , the ABS light suddenly came on and the first ABS fuse
that I checked was not installed all the way . I touched the fuse with
my finger , heard a " click " sound , and the ABS light went out
( just lucky I guess , but I'm also wondering how that could have happened
To fix a Mazda 3 ABS light 05 plate from staying lit you will need to see a dealer. They will need to use their computer to reset the code as long as the ABS light is faulty and not the actual ABS system.
You need to have the ABS system scanned with a computer to determine the reason for the light staying "on"
ABS means Anti-lock Brake System. If the light is staying on, you probably need to have your brakes checked.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but it could be an ABS fuse , sensor , or some other problem
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine problem
The light should not stay on. The light is staying on because there is a problem with the ABS system. As long as the light is on the ABS system is not functioning. You need to have it checked out if you expect the ABS system to work when you need it.
thank you for your answer. i was having trouble with the abs light coming on and staying
ABS stands for Anti-Lock Brake Sytem. If the light is staying on there is a problem with the system. Seek professional help.
This indicates your ABS has a problem. Could be broken wire, a misaligned sensor or a number of other things. You need to go to your agency to get it checked.
my car was recently transported to Kentucky from California now I'm having a problem with abs anti-lock brakes. What should I do?
A failure in the ABS self-check. This light staying on means the ABS will NOT function again until the problem is located and fixed. -- A side note: the most common failure in GM cars is the front wheel bearing / ABS sensor.
You will need to have the entire computer system checked for trouble codes. At minimum the abs and airbag coomputers will have cods with those lights staying on. If you know the code numbers you can then diagnose.
