My son had this problem and at first they thought it was the mumps. If you have any sort of sinus problems or have been sick with a cold, etc... then your glands in your throat are infected. I think they call it a salivary gland or a pituatary gland(probably misspelled). My son was in the hospital for 5 days. The pain was unbearable for him in his ear and throat. You must have dr care or it could cut off your air or swelling of the brain.
