Why is your family so important to you?

Being the third child of seven, I believe that I have quite an extensive amount of knowledge about families and why families are so important.

My family is important to me because I know that I can always rely on them. No matter what happens throughout my life or what challenges I face, I know that I will always have a solid support system to rely on.

Also, there is so much knowledge to be found within a family. My family is important to me because they taught me how to communicate effectively and get along with all types of people. My siblings and parents are so different from each other that it seems as if I am always learning something new about one of them.

Having such a wide range of personalities also allows for various conflicts within our household. Because of my family, I have learned to deal with conflict and manage problems effectively in order to fairly resolves problems.

Those are some of the reasons as to why my family is important to me.

A family is a basic social unit of society, or a collection of people with direct biological sequences… but in a sense, we all know that a family is much more meaningful than a definition.

A friend will never produce what a family can. Perhaps they can give you a home, food, and comfort, but in most cases a family provides the basis for all of that. Your parents, especially your mother (since she carried you for nine months), will always love you and remember how much they've sacrificed for you. They will relentlessly supply you food, clothing, shelter… no matter your circumstance. And if they fail to give you this, then they are not the emotional family you need.

My family, personally, is important to me because they provide me an opportunity to be completely myself. I am not afraid to walk around in my own skin, because they are the ones that know me heart and soul. This applies to anyone in a real, true family… you receive a confident notion that you are infinitely loved, no matter the circumstance, and you are able to release your true person.

That is why my family is important to me.
