Why isn't there an avatar book 4?

I dont know if they have an Avatar Book 4 but I know that Avatar Book 3 Fire was shown on TV in 2008. The only reason they wouldn't make a Book 4 is that most of the action is over since the war ended. All plots have been tied except Zuko's mother and that could extend over one or two books with the avatar so you just have to wait.
