If it is a petrol landrover it needs 3 things, fuel, compression, spark. Not starting will be one of these missing so need to check that each is present starting with the easiest first - fuel and spark.. the absence of one of these is specific to the model of landrover so too long to go into here.
The answer can go on in that you may have all three but the fuel air mixture is wrong or the spark occurs at the wrong time. but the above 3 are always a start point.
A diesel requires fuel and compression but again the latter part of the petrol answer also applies.
