your periods can be late for a variety of reasons, even if they are normally regular. stress, a change in diet, weight loss, becoming sexually active for the first time, may all cause your period to become irregular. its not that unusual at all

∙ 16y agoThe missed period could be caused by a number of things such as stress, temperature change, lots of travelling, extreme excitment, being very tired/exhausted, being really upset. If you go to the doctor they can do a pregnancy test for free and it is more reliable

If you did not perform the test properly (example: you drank a lot of fluids before taking the test, which can dilute your urine). Etc.
