It should be banned because between the ages of 0-5 children have difficulty understanding that commercials are merely confabulations and that products do not actually function as advertised. Moreover, children at a very young age can understand brand names.
Since children also have lowered pre-frontal lobe capacity (which is the area of the brain associated with higher thinking and inhibition of behaviour). It stands to the light of reason that when advertisers target to children, they are taking advantage of individuals who do not have the capacity to make a rational decision. Therefore, child targeted advertisements ought to be banned.
Advertisements aimed at children should be banned because they make the children to make wrong decisions, forces them to consume or buy things which are harmful by advertising wrong things.So it is essential that it should not only be banned but the creators of those advertisements should be punished too for spreading a plain lie and foolishness
They can sometimes be annoying, but neccessary, to provide funding for the TV station. Without them, no one would have TV. So if you want TV, you must have advertising. The BBC is exempt, because funding is raised by a TV licence.
