In my opinion, I think the answer can be found in 2 Corinthians 11:8 as spoken by 'Apostle' Paul - the man who in my view started the religion of Christianity.
We believe in stewardship as we proclaim our faith to the world. Through our faith we let the world know the supremacy of t religion we follow. Either through your decendents or ancestors you carry the tradition for the offspring s to come, so you set an example through your faith and worship.
The most dependable steward is Christ himself, for His father gave him charge of all things. We must be like the "Good Shepherd" (Steward) who can be depended upon to do all that we can to fulfill the responsibilities we have been given. This does not only apply to Christians but to all good people who have the light of Christ in them. We must help build up the church and to look after the saints. Saints is the term used in biblical times for members of the church.
Christians understand that they are on this earth for a short period of time, a single life time. During that time God has provided the world for them to live in. They feel a responsibility to insure that they don't damage it and that it is available for others. We don't want to destroy the earth for future generations of God's people.
We believe in stewardship as we proclaim our faith to the world. Through our faith we let the world know the supremacy of t religion we follow. Either through your decendents or ancestors you carry the tradition for the offspring s to come, so you set an example through your faith and worship.
Christians are encouraged to have a dogmatic belief that their religion is indisputably true, and that there is one God and only one God. It soon follows from this, a belief that their God has appointed them as stewards of the world. Even if they tolerate 'false' religious beliefs, they may inherently believe that others should look to Christians on fundamental issues.
The Scripture tells us how and it is summed up in the 2nd great Command Jesus gave us: love each other as I have loved you. See related link below:
