Why should people honor their veterans?

Why America's Vetrans should be honored.

1. Because they leave their loved ones at home to protect people they don't even know.

2. Because they fight for our country to keep the united states a free country.

3.Our vetrans put their lives on the line to fight wars that the U.S engaged in.

4.Our vetrans left their family and friends to go fight in the wars.

5. We should respect them because they fought bloody battles just so the poor man could live.

Cause they died for us. They leave their home, familes, and lives behind just or us to be free. If you think "why should I? It's not like a I give a rip about being safe." Just think. Would you want to be sitting in a heavy uniform in the hot sun, shooting, dodging bullets, and fighting for your life and our country's? If not keep your mouth shut cause I will sign you up for the next war if you think you can do any better. Cause face it, not every one had enough courage to fight for our country like they do. They do it because they want a better country. They want other countries to be safe and have freedom like our country. Now why should you honor your veterans? If you still don't know why, read it over. Think about. I would list more. But there is not enough words, not enough paper, to show how thankful I am towards these men and women for their thoughtful acts of greatness to our country. They are and always will be heroes in my eyes. They should be in yours too.They also helped our country with the problems that no one else could help us with. They helped other countries too. That is why we should honor veterans.

Veterans are the ones that are dying to keep us safe and to let us have our freedom. Elmer Davis once said, "This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave." I think that this means that we have to have brave people to go out there, because without brave people there would be no America.

Veterans choose to risk their lives and take roll in a very dangerous job. They go to war KNOWING the perilous risks, not returning home for awhile, watching people die, possibly being very hurt, tortured, murdered and all possible things that we as people cannot imagine in a lifetime. Someone that is brave to go out an defend their homes because they have a love and heart for their country. That's a true Veteran.
