There are many reasons why you shouldn't give up your parental rights.

  • You're the child's biological family.
  • This child will have many of the same genetic things you have (including but not limited to...diseases disabilities or disorders.) and if another family has this child they may not know why this child has certain behaviors.
  • I know from experience that growing up not in contact with your biological family is hard and brings up a lot of questions.

However, there are some reasons you may want to turn over you're parental rights

  • If you can't finanically support a child
  • If you or a family member in the home has a history of abusive behavior.

Think long and hard about this and remember... Sometimes you can't just think about what's best for you because you have to ask yourself "What's the best thing for my child"

I wish you the best.
