Every species has its own particular adaptation. Intelligence is a specialty of H. sapiens. Note that there are a few other species which have a nearly human level of intelligence, such as the various species of great apes, the elephant, and possibly the dolphin. Even the octopus, an invertebrate, is remarkably intelligent. So, although it is true that our species is the most intelligent species on Earth as far as we know, intelligence is not a uniquely human attribute. We just have slightly more.
Its because mammals have to learn and remember more then other animals
It is the Cerebrum. The mammal cerebrum larger that fishes.
Animals with larger brains tend to be larger than animals with smaller brains. Also, to a degree, larger brains tend to mean more complex behaviors. Yes, some mammals have more brains than humans and have less intelligence, but any mammal is more intelligent than an earthworm which only has some ganglia for a brain.
When going from lower to higher animals a larger proportion of the brain is devoted to the cerebrum. The brain stem is made up of medulla and the cerebellum.
It is the Cerebrum. The mammal cerebrum larger that fishes.
One different is the human have a larger neocortex than a animals. Also, the convolutions resulting in gryi and sulci in the human brain is sometimes not seen in a lower animals or is less complex.
Bigger brain = smarter Smaller brain = dumber Monkey has big brain, can use tools to get food etc. Bird has peanut sized brain, eats already dead animals instead of finding it's own.
it depends on what species. Usually, when dolphins slumber, half of their brain goes to sleep while the other half functions normally, causing the mammal to continue swimming.
Except for the brain, humans have a body that is as complex as any other mammal's.
a larger brain mass than other animals and thumbs
my brothers brain
Any mammal's centre of thinking is the brain. The brain is always important.
160 million. And even though a dog's brain is usually larger than a cat's brain, cats have almost twice as many neurons as dogs with 300 million of them.
