There was no agreement nor any meeting nor any event which precludud this event, other than the guards on the other side simply refused to show up for work. We never fired a shot, or launched a missile. Their economy had fallen apart just as had been predicted by JFK, long before Reagan took office.

As for the nickname, "the Great Communicator", there was never, ever, any instance, in any article, periodical, or newscast, in which he was called that, until he, in his own speech, declared "I have been called the Great Communicator...". As soon as he said that, every journalist in the world looked at each other and said, "who called him that?"
