Well it was all set in the Spanish civil war in 1937. Franco, a chief of a Spanish army trying to bomb areas around where guernica is, he was great friends with Adolf Hitler and said he could practice bombing with his airforce on the little town of Guernica. So they waited until it was market day so everyone was out-side and they bombed guernica with innocent people with no pretection for abselutely NO reason what so ever.

Katie Melua has written a song about this bombing and you can hear it on YouTube, Type in; Katie Melua-Guernica. This song reflects how it was just an ordinary day when hundreds of people died for no reason
