Harriet Tubman was so important because she was the most well known conductor of the Underground Railroad. During the Civil war, she helped by becoming a nurse, scout, solider, and spy. After the war, she continued working for what she believed in by becoming a feminist and fighting for women's suffrage rights. She was one of the most famous conductors, abolitionist, humanitarian, and a Union spy during the Civil War.
