I'm studing this short story in English and my English teacher said that in the olden days, when the story was set, some people were refered to as 'our'. For example, if you lived then your (for example) little sibling, usually a girl, may have been called 'Our' and then their name because that was just the way that people were named. If that makes sense?

The main characters in "The Doll's House" by Katherine Mansfield are the Burnell sisters, Isabel, Lottie, and Kezia. They are given a doll's house as a gift, which becomes a symbol of class divisions in their society. Other characters include the Kelveys, who are ostracized by the other children because of their lower social status. These relationships highlight themes of social hierarchy, exclusion, and innocence.
The story does not directly state who Willie Brent is or what was in the letter.
The rising action in "The Doll's House" involves the Burnell children receiving a beautiful dollhouse as a gift and the subsequent reactions and interactions with their classmates who are intrigued by it. The story builds tension as the children navigate social hierarchies and start to experience feelings of exclusion and unfairness.
The Burnell children in "The Doll's House" are named Isabel, Lottie, and Kezia. They are sisters who receive a doll's house as a gift in the story.
