the importance of the nile river was that the river gave silt (Rich soil) and with that it helped grow food. So if you get to much food its the called surplus and with surplus you get specialized job and with that you get economy (money) and with economy you get a civilization!

The main reason it was imortant is because during the flood season, The Nile would drop silt (fertile soil) in clumps. Farmers used it to grow crops. When the water flooded and there was too much water, the crops were distroyed. If there wasn't enough water, there would be a famine. The Nile was also used for transport and for leisure.

The river Nile was not just a source of water for the ancient Egyptians. The river Nile was also a central point for them.... They always used the water for irrigation to water their crops etc. The mud on the side of the Nile was used to build the ancient Egyptian homes... They also used the Nile to bathe and when the river gushed with water from the snows at the Ethiopian highlands the water was a religious object as they believed their god, RA was rewarding them they also used the Nile to grow crops on the banks as this soil was the most nutritional soil they could find so their crops would live... Hope this helps and good luck :) yeah!
