"The Amanda Show got canceled. It was one of the stranger moments in my career as a writer/producer. At the time, The Amanda Show was the most popular show on Nickelodeon. Yet after only 41 episodes, the network pulled the plug. It was a surprising move. I've never learned exactly why The Amanda Show was canceled. I think it had to do with certain people wanting to take Amanda away from Nickelodeon to the WB so she could star in What I Like About You (another TV show I created). But I didn't want The Amanda Show to end. I felt we should have done at least 20 more episodes"

The Amanda show got canceled because Amanda got old and she started to do other movies. Maybe it was also because not many people watched it. The last two weeks of December 2011 on teen nick they're giving I♥Amanda week. so... if you want to watch it go right ahead

She got a little old for the part of Amanda (16) and it might've been cancelled due to low ratings. I'm no expert on TV, but if you want more info Google search "why was The Amanda Show cancelled?" Oh, and she has dual role with Penelope and herself, Amanda. In case you didn't know, Penelope is a crazed fan(Bynes) who will go anything meet Amanda! This is what I know, but Wikipedia knows! Haha.
