Why when using dish network remote control in UHF to change a channel it goes through many channels before it stops Have the receiver favorites set to all channels Remote works fine in IR mode?

Some remotes can be used in IR or UHF mode but not both. What model is the remote, 21.0 or a different model? When a remote is switched to UHF from IR, it needs to be readdressed to the receiver so the receiver know which mode it is in. I have provided instructions on how to address the remote to the receiver.
- Remote: All Other Remotes
- Go to System Info screen (press hte Menu button 2 times).
- Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
- Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
- Press the pound (#) button.
- Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful, the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.
