Make sure the movie file is with the game executable (*.exe) in the same folder/directory.

You have to highlight them (select them together) or select a folder containing the files to add to your Movie Maker Collections. If the program is not allowing you to do this, then you might need to reinstall the Movie Maker.
well ill tell you what i did to fix this problem. i took the specific clip, put it in windows movie maker then published the clip after i put it in the timeline. after the publishing was done i found the movie i made in windows movie maker and put it in sony vegas and i worked
If it is a gameboy advance game, it will play on the DS. If it is a gameboy game, it wont play.

You need to use an external audio editor for fixing audio before importing it into the program. Windows Movie Maker can't fix audio (only adjust volume levels/fades).
