there is not an egr valve on 97's fuel filter is in the gas tank on top of fuel pump. that's the only one. I'm having some of the same problems and have ordered new cat. converter, there only good for about 80,000 miles. if your engine light stay's on and then blinks at you (tell tell sign its your cat.) good luck
AnswerUnfortunately, there are a number of things that can cause the same symptoms you have described including EGR Valves sensors etc... usually It Is Not likely the fuel pump, If its been a while you may just need a tune-up including fuel and air filters PVC valve plugs, etc...if this has been done the next culprit is likely an electrical problem Even a loose plug wire for example, throttle position sensor or similar which should set a check engine light code Which was not mentioned....hope this helpsThere is no such car.
