Why would a PS2 emulator be running slow?

there are no such things as PS2 emulators because the hardware capability of a playstation2 cannot be "simulated" using the existing computer hardware....even if you managed to acquire a software that lets you do this,you would only be overloading your system and thus running risk of causing some damage to your machine. So toughen up buddy and BUY a playstation2

There ARE working PS2 emulators out there...it's probably slowing down due to lack of RAM, processing power, or upload speed...btw...overloading your physical system only does damage if you've got some kind of ghetto cooling system.
