Why would a problem occur in MS Word 2000 when 3 asterisk characters then Enter key are entered on a line and a strange dotted line is displayed in document which cannot be deleted? |
[Edit] |
Answer
I can delete my dotted line casued by three asterixes and and enter with a backspace.
Answer
you are right .... this is default for every word 2000 processing but it will take time to tell you about the setting and changes in word 2000 options.
Here is a technical tip.
Just add a little upper comma (that is with enter key) then type asterisk and hit enter .... see what happened.

Go to the format menu and the use borders and shading. You should now see another mini screen with the dotted lines which you can click on to remove. (this is a hugely frustrating feature of microsoft word. I used the three aserisks by mistake and its taken me more than two weeks before I could figure out how to remove the damn line produced in the middle of my document).
