Why do girls like tall guys more than short guys?

women like taller men because it gives them a sense of security and an assumed submission with taller men. I also think it might be because it is out of the norm, but I dont know how tall you mean? I like my men like 6'3" - 6'5" for those reasons.

Tall guys are often attracted to short girls because some guys think tall girls areintimidating.some guys think that the tall pretty girls are out of their league.Some guys are just naturally attracted to shorter girls to it depends on who they are.In my case taller guys are attracted to me. I 5'4 and all guys I've gone out with were taller than me except for one.The guys that ask me out now though are still taller than me and some are either my height or shorter than me but the ones that are my height or shorter than me only come around every so often.

In competition of successful breeding (keeping it to the very nasics of human nature). A female will seek to find a suitable male that has the most ideal genetics (from a rather shallow outright view). A male who is more in physical shape and has more defined features (such as large shoulders; taller) is seen as a more successful male, and is less likely to suffer from illnes, ergo the children will be less likely to suffer from illness, and be more successful.

Ok that is a rather brutal view but there is other features, down to human psycology rather than animalistic ones.

A man with a rugid jaw, taller and more masculine development is seen as an ideal candidate for one off flings for a woman

Men who have (not in a bad way) femine features (larger eyes, rounded jaw, smaller stature) are much more likely to succeed in finding a woman who wants to find love and settle down; both have their benefits.

Ofcourse this isn't strictly and always true, but to get round to your answer men who are taller are seen as "ideal" for strict breeding reasons, men who aren't as tall are seen as better fathers, and more likely to succeed in keeping a woman.

Other factors; a tall man (i.e. over 6'4") may be seen as unattractive, as they may seem different and their genes "unreliable"

a shorter man (i.e. under 5'5") will be seen as less ready for a mate due to their lower height and thus "inconsistant genes"

Ideal height for a man between 5'8" and 6'1"

Now this is very very much taking it all down to base instincts, I wouldn't believe this to be the honest truth on earth, as taking breeding as a human sole outcome is rather defeatist. And ofcourse shorter men have suceeded in finding women, were taller have not even got a look in, its confidence, appearance (aside from height; i.e. clother; does he look rich? and keep; does he look clean and maintained? (a sign of good health)). Take what you wan tform this but unless its severe height differences its usually not a problem in finding women or keeping women.

(I do realise this sounds sexist, I don't mean to sound it in anyway, not all women seek ideal candidates for breeding etc, if you want further knowledge into male psycology I will give you some info on that if you so desire)

For a variety of reasons. Some women (including some tall women) find short men attractive overall. Other women overlook the difference in height because of other positive traits. His looks might not matter to her if he is able to make her feel good and have a great time, or if she loves his personality or intelligence or sense of humor. Some women might be attracted to a short man only if he were very rich, or if he had a nice car. There are all types of people and they are attracted to different things.
