There are a number of factors which might cause a woman to tolerate a sociopath. Even in a relationship without compassion, there can still be utility; a sociopath would not feel any sense of moral obligation toward a woman or anyone else, but would still be able to recognize that he can give a woman something such as a place to live, and get something in return such as sex. People often will settle for very imperfect relationships if they do not believe that they are capable of obtaining better relationships. In addition, there are some social traditions which reinforce the idea that women are subservient to men and that it is OK if not actually a good idea for men to abuse women. Women's liberation is a relatively recent social movement which began in the 1960's, some 50 years ago, and there are countries where it has had essentially no effect. Women in Saudi Arabia, for example, are given the same subordinate role that they had in the middle ages, nothing has really changed. In such circumstances, all husbands would resemble sociopaths even if they weren't.
Any woman can give birth to a sociopath. Epilepsy is not a mental illness, which seems to be the basis for your question. Epilepsy is a physical illness. As any woman can give birth to a sociopath then so could a woman with epilepsy. However there would be no connection with the fact that the woman has epilepsy as to what way her child would be.
I would say watch out, but I dont know why someone would knowingly marry a sociopath in the first place.
Maybe. However, if he or she cares about other people with the exception of his or her line of work, then the diagnosis would not be sociopath.
I can't find any. I think it would be a great thing for both genders to have a site to go to to check on someone that they're interested in. I could warn many women of a sociopath I was involved with who's still on the dating sites.
Yes, but both would not like it, and it would probably not last. Living with a sociopath is awful for anybody, and the main reason that people stay is because they don't want to hurt the sociopath. As a sociopath is egocentric, the sociopaths would not care about each other's feelings, and would leave each other.
Martha Stout PhD. states in her book "The Sociopath Next Door" that "if someone makes you feel sorry for them while continuing to hurt you on a regular basis, chances are close to 100% you are dealing with a sociopath". I would imagine this would especially apply to boyfriends.
1 reason you would love a sociopath is because if you just broke up or your sad. you will try to love a sociopath because your desperate
A sociopath has no emotion toward anything. So, if a person claiming to be a sociopath have an animal, than obviously they care about animals and that would rule out the sociopath diagnoses because of the emotion they show toward animals.
* In most cases the answer would be not! I am sure your spouse would not like it if you did that to him. Communicate! Let him know that this is unacceptable behavior and you refuse to put up with it. He has the option to go alone, with a male friend or stay home.
The sociopath lacked empathy and manipulated others for personal gain.
I am a diagnosed sociopath so I speak from my own experiences. We... we being sociopaths simply use people for our own gain and progression in life. Think of a predator hunting it's prey. If a sociopath is romantically involved with a sociopath it is likely to be shortlived since they will not have anything to offer. So really.... no. It's hard to describe and frankly if I were to meet another sociopath I would stay far away. Competition in my game... I don't need that.
You don't. Get as far away from a sociopath as you possibly can.
