Why would links or even entire folders just vanish from your AOL 9.0 Favorites folder even though you have not deleted or moved any of them?

Answer

The folders might be just moving to the bottom of the screen. AOL might be updating the folder with a property change somehow and it causes the sort to go out of wack. There are questions that need to be asked, 1. Do the folders or shortcuts ever come back? If they are permanently gone, then I would suggest just using Internet Explorer, or better yet, firefox mozilla. You probably have some kind of virus or trojan horse on the computer otherwise. I would go to www.trendmicro.com and run a free online virus scan to see if this solves your problem.

Answer

The short answer is, because it's AOL. I usually refer to it as Almost On Line.
