Why would my fit bit hr glow green (heart rate sensor) when nothing is near it?

I woke up just the other night and my fit bit hr (I only wear occasionally when I sleep) was in my hallway across from my bedroom where I could see it glowing/flashing up my wall. Nobody else was awake and my pets were put away for the night. It wasn't charging and it's battery life was low, but it hasn't died yet and it's been a few nights... Why would it think it was sensing something? Any ideas? I woke up suddenly and I think the light flashing there was what woke me.
