The battery could be dead. The battery connections could be loose. (Check these before you do anything else.) The alternator could be bad. It is not the Battery being dead other wise other things would work like horn, radio, lights, and other things. I would Start with your starter. If your starter dies the truck dies everything shuts down and when you try to start it nothing happen. That is where I would start first and then I would start on the other things.

The heater core may be clogged. You would need to take it out and clean it thoroughly. Other things to check are the thermstat

It could be two things wrong, the first thing to check would be your starter and the other would be your solenoid. take a hammer and tap on your starter, (sometimes that helps)

They are entirely different systems. One does not control the other. You have a problem in your heater core, heater control, water circulation or hoses.

What causes a burning smell from a car heater?
Could be many things. Can't say exactly what. But, here are a few things I would check. Do you have trees in the area you park your car? If so, you could have leaves pine needle or other dibree in you heater vent that could have caught fire from your heater motor. I actually had this happen once, it filled my pickup cab with wood smoke. It smelled like that every time I used the heater until I sold the truck. You heater core could have a leak and the antifreeze smell could be coming through your vents. Or your heater motor itself could be going bad and melting the winding on the motor armiture. I'm sure there could be other things like electrical shorts, lost cigar behind the ashtray. Hope that gives some help.
Can you use star delta starter and soft starter in to same motor?
Probably. More importantly, why would you want to? The Star/Delta starting method is used to minimize motor starting current, just like a soft starter. Use one or the other. There's no good reason to use both, it will just make things more complicated.
Where would you start looking for the broken or loose wire if your 94 Chevy Blazer won't start after you replaced the heater core?
4x4's & p/u's have the starter harness running in back of the motor(intake manifold) down by the heater case--U might have caught the wires under the heater case or Evaporator case.
