Car is front wheel drive, S10 is rear wheel. Last I knew, there were no holes for the motor mounts on the car motor. The spot is there on the block, but the holes are not tapped.
The engine might fit the space, but unlikely with match up with the transmission linkage.
You may have to relocate the engine and gearbox mounts but with a little patience I did.

This really depends on how hard you're willing to work to make it fit. If you don't want to make modifications to the car, then the only engine that will fit is the original engine size. If you are willing to make lots of modifications you can choose any engine you so desire.
