We can only hope.
I am pretty sure that when astronauts were shoveling they found some ice. nasa is pretty sure they have found some water but no astronauts have ever been there

No. There is no liquid water on the surface of Mars. The planet is essentially on gigantic desert.
MARS ROVERS, CRACK HEADS, ATOMIC BOMBS, SUICIDE TERRORIST, AND SAFE
Yes, we have sent many probes and some rovers to Mars.
So far, nothing: people haven't visited Mars yet. A robot is easier to send to Mars than a human, it has less requirements and can be left stranded on Mars. However, some might consider it a worthwhile challenge to send humans to Mars. Or to other planets, moons, or asteroids, for that matter.
Contrary to internet myths, the president is not shutting down NASA. He did, however, need the agency to make some budget cuts and to re-focus its mission. It was decided to concentrate on exploration of Mars, rather than on making another trip to the moon. Currently, NASA is involved with the Mars mission, with President Obama's full support. It should be noted that the president's decision to cancel further trips to the moon was controversial with some former astronauts, but others understood the reasons for it, and were in agreement with exploring Mars.
It has yet to be determined, some of the probes that NASA has sent to Mars is in search of life and the one that they are planning to send up in 2011 should give us a good answer. The probe will be looking for signs of life and will be in search of microbes. If microbes are found on Mars then yes there really are Marshans but nothing of the intelligent life were are used to seeing in Hollywood.
