Will Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum 32-Bit work on Windows Vista?

I have had windows Vista home premium on my laptop since just a few weeks after it was released. I also play Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 - it works fine. Just make sure you have downloaded the latest drivers for your sound card and graphics card, otherwise you'll run into some problems. But sometimes there are issues and lots of threads suggest running as admin etc or compatability mode.

I tried all the run as admin etc and none of it worked but the link below sorted it out no problem! All you do is go to this support site and download and run a diagnostic tool. It asks you if you want to auto scan or search - I selected search and browsed to the Atari folder in C: program files. It found the game and then analysed it, downloaded an update, and auto updated the game. This it just...... WORKED!

On the bottom of the diagnoctic tool it mentioned Sony so it gave me some confidence to use. Think this is a common way they update secured games.

It depends on the version. From personal experience, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 works on my Vista computer. There is no reason why it wouldn't work. :)
Yes it does work on Vista but only thing you need to do before you load the game and play it, right click game icon on your desktop and click run as Administrator, if you dont do that then it will freeze up on you when you try and save game. Worked great for me. Hope this helps you out.

I just purchased this and tried it with a Dell computer running Windows Vista with negative results. It downloads Ok but when I clicked the icon to play I got an error box. I searched online for a fix and tried many different suggestions including changing file names and downloading a zip file to execute this program. Very frustrating!!!! Probably, I have 64-bit Vista and RCT3 Gold works on it. Platinum is a newer version so it should work.
