if its irs with irs you can but if its irs with mormal you cant
Edit: These are what is referred to as "swingaxle" transaxles in both year vehicles. The 1967and 68 has the wider track axles compared to the 1966. You could put in the 66 in the 67 but be aware the difference in track width would move the rear wheels in an inch or so.It is possible of course to switch the axles and axle housings form the 67 to the 66 transaxle.
Since both cars are swing axle, the transmissions will interchange.
No 67 bugs are all 67 only parts, to include the doors.
Youmight have transaxle problems.
yes it can
With a great deal of work, it will.
no.
Probably not. The larger engine and 12 volt system needed more room. Beginning about 1967 the rear deck lid had a camels hump.
Answeryes
Late 1966 to early 1967 1500 cc engine.
the pancake engine will fit in any 72 - 79 bus without modification. the only issue is what size fly wheel to use to properly mate it to whatever transaxle is in the bus.
Yes It will. no problems. might have to pull and tug when you put it on.
Yup. It'll go right in, no modifications required.
