No it will not. The 4T80-E transmission was designed for Cadillac Northstar V8s that have the starter mounted in between the the cylinder banks. The bolt hole pattern will not work. If you want a stronger transmission, from 1997 onward, GM used the 4T65-E that had a strong torque application and updated electronic controls. The 4T80E will bolt up to a FWD 3800. You would have to cut a piece off of the side of the transmission for the starter.
The Aerostar never had a 3.8 liter. It had a 4.0 or a 3.0. So maybe you need to improve the question.
