It depends on type of w/m. Some new w/m have built in computer, wich will make start- up test, if somth found wrong, it display "fail" and will not start
Usually in such cases water pump fail to start.
In general devices should not be used on the wrong frequency, but certain devices are all right. Transformers or resistive devices like heaters that are designed for 50 Hz work perfectly on 60 Hz. Commutator motors (e.g. electric drills, vacuum cleaners) work reasonably well but induction motors (e.g. fans, refrigerators) or synchronous motors (e.g. clocks) only work on the correct frequency.
It must state on the appliance, that it will work at 240v, 50hz. If it does not clearly state it on the name plate, damage to the appliance will occur.
Yes it will work the dryer will spin slightly slower and the motors temp will increase but on a dryer it really won`t do much damage. I have a friend that did the exact same thing.
normally, appliance are built in 110v or 220v, applied in 100-140v and 200-240v. if your 250v appliance is common home appliance equipment, then 220volt is ok, i think. otherwise, you should ask the vendor for special power supply.
As the waffle maker is a totally resistive load there will be no problem using the different supply.
The voltage and frequency range depends on the individual appliance, but each appliance should have a small plaque on it near where the power cord enters, telling you the working range.
The fourth prong grounds the body of the appliance. You can attach it to the frame or simply ignore it.
It would involve some electronics work but it could be done. Might add that it could be more expensive than just buying the proper power supply. Use Use 220V 60hz motor to run 110V 50hz Generator.
You need to convert the voltage if your appliance requires less voltage than you power supply. example: appliances is 110V and power supply is 220V.
nothing

of course. go to the market and buy a transformer. It will convert a 110V supply to a 220V supply.

DC 12V power supply can convert 110/220V AC power source to 12V DC.
Some appliances, like air conditioners and clothes dryers require about twice as much electricity as most other devices, and require their own 220V supply of electricity. Your appliance will not work with only half the amount of electricity it needs. I recommend calling an electrician and having him install the appropriate plug.
No
If you connect 110V xbox one to a 220V outlet, only the power supply will burn and not the Xbox one.
120V appliance will not work on 220V. Use an instrument transformer or voltage regulator to adjust the high voltage to the desired level.
No. Attempting to run an appliance on insufficient voltage can cause damage to the appliance and can be dangerous. Call an electrician and get him to install a 220v plug
