Male plants contain trace amounts, if any at all, of THC (the psycho-active compound present in cannibas, responsible for the desired medicinal and recreational effects. Hemp is the term that refers to the non-THC related uses for the marijuana plant, such as but not limited to: oil extracted from the seeds can be used for a number of consumer products, like soaps, lotions, tinctures, etc... possibly even fuels and solvents; the fiber of the plant is extremely valuable too, since unlike most trees its fibers are contiuous from root to tree top - this makes it far easier to use for textiles, and much stronger as a building material, speaking of which hemp has many valuable properties as such, for example its resistance to rot, decay, and destructive insects... it is also a sustainable resource as it grows 10 times faster than doug fir, requires less water, and has a much lower mortality rate from fungus/parasites/mold and other environmental elements that are detrimental to most lumber products under cultivation. Regardless of the contraversy surrounding medicinal and recreational use of the plant, its value to our society otherwise is largely disregarded. it will but it will be more of a tired high unlike hydroponic or popcorn. it also depends on the strand of marijuana.

yes a male plant still produces as much THC as a female plant only difference is that it has seeds in it.
