It depends on the pigeon- if it was a healthy pigeon, then there is a high chance that the cat doesn't get infected, but if it was an infected pigeon, the there is a high chance the cat will get sick. Its better to make sure your cat doesn't eat pigeons or any other birds by giving it a collar with a bell on it. When the bell rings, this will warn the bird that the cat is coming and will fly away so the cat has a lower chance of getting infected.
