Will ciprofloxacin treat strep throat?

Answer:

Answer

Cipro is usually used for respitory infections, bacterial infections. Strep needs more oif a penicillin form...such as amoxicillin....omnicef sometimes is used if the infection is REAL bad.. Omnicef is like the shotgun of antibiotics. You should see your Dr. so they can give you a full 10 day treatment as Strep will come back quickly if not completely cured. If you start to use an antibiotic and it doesnt work it could cause the strep test to come back negative and your doctor will be totally misinformed on your condition.
