Green tea is good for the body and has many health benefits, but it won't make you lose weight faster. Weight loss is the result of burning more calories than you put into your body. Diet and exercise can boost weight loss, but not green tea.

And keep in mind that any chemical said to increase energy only helps releaase more adrenaline; that doesn't mean your metabolism is in any way affected.
