Will home owner's insurance pay to cut a tree that may fall on the house?

[Edit]

Answer

No. If you know that it is likely to fall on the house and it does, they will probably deny the claim because you should have taken care of it. But if a tree that appears to be healthy and solid should fall they will probably cover that damage.
