Anything can freeze, but there are usually recommended temperature ranges on the TV or in the directions for the TV. Other temperatures (hot or cold) will affect the picture and future performance.
Most electronic products are more tolerant of low temperatures than we are. Televisions are no exception and you should expect them to operate at far lower temperatures than their viewers do.
Certainly, they can be stored in freezing temperatures but it is important to avoid bringing them in to a higher temperature and turning them on before they have a chance to acclimatize. Condensation can be a problem in this case and water droplets settling on components can have an adverse affect on the equipment.
