Most likely no. I have had occasional luck with Slick 50 Automatic Transmission treatment but only sometimes. Its worth a try and sometimes it works
Sadly, you will need a rebuild or a new/used tranny. You can try the Lucas Transmission oil, it claims to stop slipping, but did not work in my 97 Malibu. I ended up trading it off, too expensive to fix.
Yes Lucas oil has some really good products. I am not affiliated with Lucas oil in any way, except I use their products.
Keeping in mind that the same oil services both engine and transmission, honestly, I don't believe that the Lucas fix will fix your problem.
MY TRANS IS SLIPPING WILL A OIL FLUSH HELP
a t oil light would be auto transmission oil if its getting hot could be slipping or just cloged or damaged oil cooler
many times it will take more than 4 my suggestion would be to first place lucas oil stabilizer and the put approximately 3 1/2 quarts of the oil if not put 4 and one lucas oil stabilizer the lucas replaces one quart of oil the lucas is very effective and makes the oil alot smoother
synchromesh transmission fluid, VERY critical to use in a 5lm60 to prevent failure.
Yes, if you are referring to Lucas oil. But if you are referring to Lucas Oil Treatment the answer is no. Do not add any oil treatment to your engine period.
The manual transmission takes gear oil. I prefer the lucas heavy duty 80/90 gear oil... It works great The automatic take MOPAR ATF+4.
Probable slipping torque converter.
It has low oil or it has serious internal failure. With out a test drive and at leasta 1 hour diagnostic, no further can be determined.
Lucas Oil Rail Line was created in 2006.
