Yes the 140 is a cheaper varient of the model 1400. Just as the model 120 is a cheaper varient of the 1200. The only difference is that the 140 and the 120 were offered with hard wood stocks where as the 1400 and the 1200 were offered in Walnut as well as hardwood and even synthetic stocks. The 140 was made as an entry level shotgun with focus towards military and police sales. They were only made for 2 years and they are getting really hard to find. Most people do not remember them at all but they were excellent shotguns.

Are there interchangeable parts for Winchester model 25?

The Winchester model 25 was the non take down version of the Model 12 pump action shotgun. These shotguns were made from 1949-1954.There were only 87,937 shotguns made during this time span. They were chambered in 12 gauge only and were available with either a 26in,or 28in barrel. While this was made as a model 12 non taken down model, one must presume that the ability to interchange parts between the model 12 and model 25 is possible.I would look to Numrich Gun Parts Corp.as a possible source for these parts.

What is the value of a Winchester model 21 28guage 28inch barrel factory made average condition shotgun?

If you are willing to get your winchester model 21,28 gauge shotgun authenticated by a winchester facory letter, then this shotgun could range in price from 25,000-30,000 dollars because it is generally believed that less that 100 model 21 shotguns were made by the winchester custom shop during the production of the winchester model 21.There was a production of 32,500 model 21 shotguns made between the years 1931-1988.Only 1100 were made by the winchester custom shop. You may get a letter on your winchester model 21 shotgun by contacting the the Cody firearms museum located in Cody,Wyoming.I would certainly have this shotgun valued by a qualified winchester collector assoc.member.
