NFL decision on Vick's dogfight charge
Originally and according to Sports Illustrated, "NFL commissioner Roger Goodell barred Vick from attending training camp while the league investigated."
Vick and three others were indicted by a federal grand jury on July 17, 2007 on multiple counts and Vick was immediately suspended. Later on December 10, 2007, Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison on the federal charges.
Vick remains suspended from the NFL.
