If the husband decides not to see the mistress again then the words are quite simple. "I can't ever see or speak to you again" That is all it needs. Anything longer than that suggests that it is not over.

Definitely, especially if his wife and himself can not work on their marriage anymore. Married man are not stupid, if they can't have it at home, they deserve to get it without the woman nagging. But really some married men will do if he can't put back his marriage anymore. Most men are afraid to be alone.....

A wife should not sit idly by and allow this behavior to go on as she now has become and enabler and lost her self respect. The husband is ego maniacal in character and feels quite sure he can bounce between his wife and his mistress. The wife should put her foot down and kick his butt out the door and file for divorce. The percentage are high that the married man will never marry his mistress because he does not respect her either.
